STUDY 3: Analysis of Competitor Institutions |
 |
 |
What other colleges and universities offer adult students could influence your college's policies and marketing. Aslanian Group examine the programs of the institutions that have the largest shares of the adult student market in your region and develop a profile of what they offer, when they schedule courses, where they conduct their classes, what they charge, and much more that is essential for you to know as you plan for the future.
Study 3 Shows You How To
- Duplicate what others offer, reasoning that there is unmet demand among adults not yet enrolled at colleges and/or that some enrolled students will transfer to your institution.
- Design new offerings, reasoning that demand for current offerings is already satisfied or that your college has unique resources to create programs that are in demand and that other colleges cannot readily duplicate.
- Coordinate offerings, by, for example, adding upper-division programs to complete what other colleges have begun or adding lower-division programs that other colleges can complete.
